Alongside sister company, Global Crane Services, we offer an extensive range of mobile and crawler cranes and associated specialist services - including crane & heavy haulage, turbine installation and pre-assembly works - from strategic bases at The Port of Nigg, Aberdeen, Glasgow and Dunloy (Northern Ireland).

Led by a management team with decades of combined experience in both the onshore and offshore wind sectors, Global Wind Projects now has over 140 dedicated turbine installation and maintenance specialists on the roster.
Drawing on capabilities from fellow Global Energy Group companies, Global Wind Projects can deliver comprehensive end-to-end onshore and offshore pre-assembly CPA & Contract Lift packages to wind developers across the UK and Ireland, helping combat climate change and deliver a low carbon future.
Proven Delivery
Global Wind Projects takes pride in being entrusted to deliver installation and maintenance services to some of the UK and Ireland’s most critical onshore wind energy assets. Our experienced and skilled team has delivered major projects for both SGRE and Nordex in the UK & Ireland, including crane and installation works at Longhill Burn, which is the only SGRE 5X project to date in the UK. We also completed works on 15 turbines at Kype Muir Extension for Nordex – the highest turbines ever installed in the UK.
Recent projects also include the installation of twenty-nine N117 turbines at Yellow River Wind Farm in Ireland for Nordex, where we provided cranes and installation teams to deliver the full mechanical and electrical completion of the project. At Enoch Hill Wind Farm in East Ayrshire, we also installed 13 N133 Delta4000 series turbines and 2 N117 Delta series turbines for Nordex, supplying cranes and skilled wind turbine technicians to oversee both the installation and the mechanical and electrical completion of the WTGs. Over the course of this project alone, our team delivered more than 30,000 hours of work.
Global Wind Projects’ impeccable track record of successfully delivered onshore projects saw us win our first major offshore wind pre-assembly contract. Siemens Gamesa contracted GWP to provide cranes, installation personnel and ground transport for the pre-assembly of 54 offshore wind turbine towers, which formed part of the Neart na Gaoithe (NnG) Offshore Wind Farm.
