Frank McAlonan

Graduating from the University of Ulster with a BSc (Hons) in Construction Engineering & Management, Frank went on to spend two years as a site supervisor installing precast industrial concrete frames in Dublin and London. Joining the wind industry in 2008 as a Wind Turbine Technician, Frank went on to hold roles, including as Installation Lead, Site Manager and Technical Manager, that saw him heavily involved with planning and building some of the largest onshore and offshore wind schemes in the UK/Irish market but also across Scandinavian, North Africa and Australia. 

Frank’s vast experience and ability to problem solve using a one team approach - combined with the pride he takes in delivering a project from initial planning to final delivery, ensuring that the highest standards are achieved at every level, has helped establish Global Wind Projects as one of the leading Crane & Installation contractors to the wind and renewables sectors.
