Kevin McAlonan

Head of Wind Operations

Joining sister company, Global Crane Services, as Project Manager for the Seagreen marshalling contract at The Port of Nigg - a role that saw him overseeing the loading in, transportation and storage of offshore wind jackets, as well all lifting operations involved in the loading out and preparatory works on the jacket - Kevin later progressed to the role of Head of Wind Operations at Global Wind Projects.

Starting out in construction aged 16, Kevin has since enjoyed over ten years working in the wind sector as a Technician, Supervisor and in Site Management roles where he was involved in the installation of both onshore wind farms and offshore pre-assembly sites across Europe. In due course, Kevin progressed into an Operations Manager role assuming the responsibility for the successful execution of wind projects globally.

Continuous professional development and up-skilling is giving Kevin the experience and expertise to one day become a senior Operations Director / COO. Having witnessed significant change within the Wind Industry over the last decade - with improvements in the management, execution, and delivery of project - Kevin believes the further utilisation and implementation of Lean methodology will lead to continued improvements of the operational delivery of wind projects.

Kevin recently achieved Chartered Construction Manager status with the CIOB, marking a proud milestone in his professional development journey.
