Our valued client, wind turbine supplier Nordex, has been commissioned by SSE Renewables to manufacture, deliver, and install twenty-nine N117 turbines (the first of which has now been installed) at Yellow River Wind Farm in Rhode, County Offaly, Ireland.

Global Wind Projects’ scope encompasses the provision of cranes and installation teams, ensuring the mechanical and electrical completion of the project. Yellow River follows on from the provision of installation and M&E services of nineteen N149 turbines at Ardderroo Wind Farm in County Galway, and the installation of five N117 turbines at Sheskin Wind Farm in County Mayo.

When complete, Yellow River will generate enough low-carbon renewable energy to power 66,000 homes annually and offset 65,000 metric tonnes of carbon per annum, contributing significantly to Ireland’s 2030 renewable energy targets.
