What is your current role within Global Wind Projects?

Technical & Operations Manager’ for both Global Wind Projects & Global Crane Services.

Your previous industry experience:

Following his graduation from the University of Ulster in with a BSc (Hons) in Construction Engineering and Management in 2006, Frank became a site supervisor installing precast concrete frames in Dublin and London until 2008.

Frank started in the wind industry in 2008 as a Wind Turbine Technician, before progressing into Installation Lead, Site Manager and Technical Manager roles.

During this period, Frank was heavily involved with planning and building some of the largest Onshore and Offshore projects, predominately in the UK/Irish market but also Scandinavian, N. African, and Australian markets.

Do you have any Professional Goals/ Aspirations for the industry?

To expand on his knowledge and skillset, to assist with the growth of the Global Crane Services division and establishing Global Wind Projects as one of the leading Crane & Installation contractors to the Wind and Renewables sectors.

What inspires you?

Frank has always been inspired by solving problems using a one team approach and gets great job satisfaction from seeing a project through from initial planning to final delivery, ensuring that the highest standards are achieved at every level.

What is the best piece of advice you have been given?

‘Never ask anything of anyone that you wouldn’t be prepared to do yourself’.
